Job Descriptions
Journeyman
What to Expect as a Journeyman
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring and equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and correct with test equipment and hand tools
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components
- Work on industrial, commercial, and residential new installation and remodel projects
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Work mostly in northeast Wisconsin with limited travel
Apply if You Have
- A valid Wisconsin Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician card
- Industrial, commercial, or residential experience preferred, but not required
- Industrial controls experience helpful but not required
- Structured cable experience helpful but not required
- Ability to stand, sit, and bend for up to 10 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs at any time
- A great work history and attendance
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- The ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round
Apprentice
What to Expect as an Apprentice
- Learn on the job and in school
- Train in a State and Federal approved apprenticeship program
- Work on construction sites with other apprentices and top notch Journeymen
- Run conduit, pull wire and cable, and install equipment
- All under direct supervision of a lead electrician
